When I rang The Bull’s Head to ask if we could check- in early- they were very accommodating. When we did arrive- the staff were very friendly and professional. The Bull’s Head is an older attractive building in the middle of Swadlincote which has had to keep its charm downstairs as it’s listed, but going upstairs to the bedrooms- the owners have transformed each of their bedrooms into modern en- suite accommodation. Our room was light , airy with a luxurious feel. It was very clean and tidy in tones of white, mustard and grey. The curtains were thick, grey and fully lined with blackout linings. Should you need fresh air- every wind could be freely opened without any health or safety concerns. Our hospitality table had 6 x choices of tea, including breakfast, earl grey and herbal. 2x types of coffee- including decaffeinated ones, plus biscuits. Outside our door- there was a small communal fridge freezer where we were actively encouraged to take as many chilled water bottles/ fresh milk etc that we needed. Our room had both double ended bath and a shower plus all the towels we needed and a useful bathmat. Soap was provided as well. We also booked in for dinner- where we were treated to a great choice for starters, main and dessert. For the price we paid for one night £95- ( not including dinner) to have a warm welcome, with a well presented room and breakfast for two- with cooked and continental choices- the money we paid was phenomenal value for money. Should we come down to Derbyshire in the future- we will be booking in at the Bull’s Head again. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay exceptional.

Very warm welcome from Becky on arrival and for the continuation of our stay, Staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect The Bulls Head is full of History and character dating back to around 1570 and we found it very interesting looking at all the period features around the building We chose to stay for an evening meal and had a fantastic meal with plenty of options to choose from the menu The room was warm and homely and we had a good nights sleep in the exceptional comfy bed In the morning we were met by the lovely Becky for our breakfast which you choose what you you fancy and cooked to your desired taste Booking out and one again we were met with a pleasant and friendly member of Staff for our final transaction

Dave was an excellent host, friendly and welcoming.from the word go. Our room was clean and well presented, a mix of modern and in keeping with the building. . We had booked an evening meal which was excellent, staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble. Slept well and even though our room looked onto the car park and the pub is on a junction we didn't hear any noise outside. Breakfast was again excellent, , great quality produce and again Dave was an excellent host. We would 100% recommend the Bulls Head and will be returning next year. Thank you Dave , your kitchen team and all your lovely front of house staff.

We stayed at the Bull's Head for a weekend and would strongly recommend it to others! Breakfast was incredible - all home cooked and to order. Bacon was especially delicious 😋. Bec the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming and helped us out with places to see nearby. Room was everything we needed and came with a wide selection of teas and coffee - the staff were extremely quick to refill these and put anything right. WiFi was great. We also had a meal one evening (although weren't pressured to) and the food was excellent.

Jon
